Special Mass and Blessing with Bishop Parkes

You are cordially invited to join Morning Star Catholic School at a special Mass, blessing and reception with Bishop Gregory L. Parkes.

Mass begins at 8:15 am at Sacred Heart Church, Pinellas Park.

Bishop Parkes will bless Morning Star’s newly built sensory room after Mass. Reception with light refreshments immediately following in the OTHERS Hall on the Morning Star campus at 4661 80th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, Florida.


Kendra Scott Gives Back to Morning Star

We at Morning Star are thrilled to be a part of Kendra Gives Back!

On Saturday, September 8th from 12noon – 3pm, you can enjoy sips and sweets all while shopping for jewelry and gifts at Kendra Scott at Hyde Park Village in Tampa.  The best news is that 20% of the proceeds from sales during that time will go to Morning Star. Please share with friends and family!

The Mad Science program was so successful this year that we are doubling-down. Proceeds raised during Give Day Tampa Bay 2018 will go towards bringing Mad Science workshops to our school in 2018-2019. Mad Science offers a turn-key, enrichment curriculum that makes science fun for our students. The program sparks imaginative learning through a hands-on, interactive, and inquiry-based approach to science. The workshops, presented by highly-trained Mad Scientists, align with STEM fundamental and Florida State Standards.

Catholic Schools Week is Here

Monday, January 29th – Celebrate Community
Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite sports team shirt.
Walk-a- thon: Come cheer on our students as they walk to raise money for St Vincent De Paul Society. From 1pm to 2pm students will walk, jog and run as many laps as they can. There will be music, games and a surprise treat for all participating at the end!

Tuesday, January 30th – Celebrate Students

Students show your school spirit today by wearing as much yellow and blue as you can.
Teachers and staff will provide a pancake breakfast for students beginning at 8am-make sure they come hungry!
High School students will attend Mass at Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
Bess the Book Bus will visit our school at 10am. Students will have an opportunity to pick out a favorite book to take home.
Giving Tree Music is back! At 1pm the entire school will participate in a drum circle where students get a chance to show us their rhythm.

Wednesday, January 31st – Celebrate the Nation
Students show pride in our country by wearing red, white and blue today.
Our poetry reading will take place at 1pm in OTHERS Hall. All students are welcome to participate and parents are invited to watch.
Please note there is NO MASS today. It will be on Friday instead.

Thursday, February 1st – Celebrate Vocations
Mismatch Day: students are encouraged to wear as many mismatched clothes as possible!
Noah’s Ark petting zoo will be on campus from 10am to 12pm and students will get a chance to get “hands on” with animals from the farm.
Lunch will be provided to the teachers and staff by the HSA officers to celebrate the vocation to teach and work in a Catholic School!
Please write a short note to your child’s teacher to tell them how much you appreciate what they do.

Friday, February 2nd – Celebrate Families
Families, please attend Mass with your child at 9am.
Students may wear their “Sunday Best” to school today.
Come eat lunch with your child today. Families may come between 11:30am-12:30pm and eat a picnic lunch with their student. Please bring a blanket to sit on.

Open House and School Tour Scheduled for January 25th

2017 Annual Auction Fundraiser Success

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual auction fundraiser on November 11th. Whether you sponsored, donated, volunteered, bid, won, prayed or all of the above you are the key to the success of our school and students. We are continuously humbled by the outpouring of love and kindness we are shown. Please know that it is together that we do so much. We grossed over $56,000 this year—our best outcome to-date.

School Closed Sept. 7, 8, 11 and 12 — RE-OPENS on September 13

Morning Star will close September 7, 8, 11 and 12 because of Hurricane Irma.

We’re back at school on September 13th. Safety is our top priority. Only come to school if you feel safe in doing so. Please use your best judgement on what is right for your family. Thank you!
